This is an awesome skin. However, it's slightly limited on smaller screens.

I'm running on a 1440x900 display, and I've had to duplicate the bars to allow the use of two separate vertical bars on either side of my monitor. So this should probably be an addition to any later versions.

I believe that your launcher skins should have a titlebar of some sorts to allow easier dragging/dropping around the screen, as well as the addition of a directory viewer skin that allows users who don't want shortcuts and applications on their desktop to use a popup applet in your skin that displays their desktop icons.

Other than that, it's an awesome looking skin. Keep up the good work!

There is one feature request I'd like to make, or would help add in any way I can- I'd like to get XMPlay on the list of supported media players.

Hello the spotify/twitter ... doesn't work :/
-
Nevertheless I followed the instructions, except to twitter or I fall on that: "http: // www.supertweet.net / login" (404)
-
LeftMouseUpAction=!Execute ["%PROGRAMFILES%\Spotify\spotify.exe"] ---> The target of the file is not valid here, the software being installed somewhere else by default; I can change the target how knowing that the .exe is here : C:\Users\hadock\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Spotify.exe
-
For spotify : Buttons work but not that to launch the application; and the name of the artist either.

Thank you in advance

Nice work mate!

The Calendar-Mon.ini has a error for Feb 7th showing as 38th and 15th on the next month below that calendar is also highlighted by mistake, I think it's a bug from the 38 error. The Sunday version is fine though, I couldn't see it in the change logs, I'm using 1.3.0.

Thanks for the skin, poiru!

Gcal only kinda works for me. The XML link seems to work fine: i.imgur.com/cNuSRDa.png . However, the gcal skin only seems to be able to scrape random events from that xml: i.imgur.com/ANlApzW.png (in this case it's missing the soccer event).

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Does anybody know why GCal-4.ini works but none of the other variants work? For example, the "popup" doesn't work.

I guess I am trying to figure out if I messed up here, or if there is an issue with this version.... I cannot get Gcal to load any events, and the Feeds just has "N/A" displayed. Is this a known problem out there?

Found the workaround. Open Feed.ini (I'll use Feed1) and under the section [Feed1], change the line Url=... and RegExp=... to be:

Url=#feeds.URL1#
RegExp="(?siU)<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
.*<item.*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)(?(?=.*<item).*<title.*>(.*)
.*<link.*>(.*)
)"

I copied this from Enigma's RSS reader.
Then open the Gnometer\SETTINGS\Variables.inc file and change the feeds.URL1 variable to substitute the %XX characters with the proper URL, like
feeds.URL1=[link]

Do this for the other Feeds.

Further, I need to change the StringIndex for Feed1.mLinkX (where X is 1-8). I need to increase them by 2, eg, for Feed1.mLink1, I need to change StringIndex from 2 to 4

[Feed1.mLink1]
Measure=Plugin
Plugin=Plugins\WebParser.dll
Url=[Feed1]
DecodeCharacterReference=1
StringIndex=4

For mLink2, StringIndex=6, etc.

Thanks everyone! That was a bitch, but it's great to have my feeds back and working properly to boot!

Also, I'd love it if someone could solve the issue on the Facebook feeds.

Nicely done!

I think you went the wrong way for the indices, though, and you'll be missing the top-most entry. The feed title is index 1, then the link+item pairs run at 2-3, 4-5, etc.

[Feed1.mLink1]
Measure=
Plugin
Plugin=
Plugins\WebParser.dll
Url=[Feed1]
DecodeCharacterReference=1
StringIndex=2

[Feed1.mItem1]
Measure=
Plugin
Plugin=
Plugins\WebParser.dll
Url=[Feed1]
DecodeCharacterReference=1
StringIndex=3

Nope, you're right, I misread. The sequence is (after 1 for the feed title) link1-item1,link2-item2,... = index4-index3,index6-index5,...

[Feed1.mLink1]
Measure=
Plugin
Plugin=
Plugins\WebParser.dll
Url=[Feed1]
DecodeCharacterReference=1
StringIndex=4

[Feed1.mItem1]
Measure=
Plugin
Plugin=
Plugins\WebParser.dll
Url=[Feed1]
DecodeCharacterReference=1
StringIndex=3

[Feed1.mLink2]
Measure=
Plugin
Plugin=
Plugins\WebParser.dll
Url=[Feed1]
DecodeCharacterReference=1
StringIndex=6

[Feed1.mItem2]
Measure=

Plugin=
Plugins\WebParser.dll
Url=[Feed1]
DecodeCharacterReference=1
StringIndex=5

fnxweb,
Thanks for finding the fix for the feeds. While not completely new to Rainmeter, I am having a heck of a time getting this to work.
Any chance you could post your modified files somewhere so I could modify for them for my use? This would be greatly appreciated!

So, in the Gnometer Feed.ini file, we have:
[Feed1]
Measure=Plugin
Plugin=Plugins\WebParser.dll
Url=[link]

As of today (or yesterday?) the Google Reader is dead. What is the replacement line for the above? My feeds all show as blank now.

Are you looking at fixing the Feed reader? It's using the just-about-to-be-retired Google Reader and so will soon fail.

I've tried fiddling with the RegExp settings to match the raw RSS XML (and manually adjusted the Variables.inc to un-escape the feed URLs ), but it's not working ("failed to parse") :-(
